Our Journey Down South Part Two

So uploading this blog was definitely a challenge this week!! It seemed like everything that could go wrong, did go wrong!  But don't worry, I got it all worked out and we are back.
So we got into Tybee Island late at night and my family did not get in until like midnight. So that first night was a late one!
Could you tell how thrilled my sister is about taking this picture??!!

Jon was wiped out by the end of day one.  He will probably kill me for posting this but he looked so cute how could I not?!

So on our first real night in Tybee, we decided that we wanted some really good seafood.  So we went to the Crab Shack.  This place is the coolest.  It is an open air restaurant and they have baby alligators that you can feed while you are waiting for your table. :)

My mom and my sister :)

Hubster and my brother :).  This makes my heart happy.

Oh. My. Gosh. The food was amazing.  This was how seafood was meant to be eaten.  End of story.
Ha.  Just kidding! :P
The next day we went on a dolphin tour that was equally amazing!

Family Picture minus Jon.  Don't we look thrilled?! Ha.  To be fair, it was REALLY hot that day!

My only good picture of a dolphin.  There were tons out, but those guys are fast!

So the next day we went on a bus tour of Savannah. Sadly, it was hard to get really good pictures of the city while we were in the bus but I got some later on in the week when we went back :)

 City Hall :)

This is the oldest tree in Georgia.
And below is the inside of one of the many churches in Savannah.

This is a statue of the Waving Lady.  She used to stand outside her house and wave to the ships coming in. :) Legend has it that she was looking for her long-lost love.

Well, guys, that's it!! We had such an amazing time and feel so blessed to be included on this wonderful adventure!!
So until next time.. xoxo

Our Journey South Part One

So our vacation took place about a month ago.  But since then we have been in the process of moving and we just got settled in!  I am so happy to be back in the swing of things and I have some very exciting posts planned!
So my birthmom invited us to go to Tybee Island with them for a week and we decided to leave a day early and stop at few places along the way.
Jon was so excited to be driving!!!

Later on our first afternoon, we stopped at the Jack Daniels distillery.  My husband LOVES whiskey and enjoys the different tastes.  I don't know how he can tell the difference, but he can!

This is the story of how Jack Daniel's died.  We thought this was funniest thing ever!
Interesting fact about where Jack Daniel's is made: During the Prohibition the selling and making of alcohol was outlawed.  After Prohibition ended, the distillery was allowed to make whiskey but could not sell it because Prohibition required a population of 5,000 to overturn it.  The population has never been that high.  So the distillery sell the bottles and gives you the whiskey for free.

  Jack.

Here are some of the gorgeous views we encountered on our drive:

I am convinced that the Loch Ness Monster lives here.

The next morning we stopped in a little town called Marietta before we headed to Atlanta.
This is the cutest little town will ever see in your life!
This gazebo was in the town square and Jon and I saw the cutest couple sitting on benches drinking hot tea.  Adorable!
We also found the best and craziest costume shop!
Yes that is my husband.  Being awesome!

They had the Mad Tea Party! On the ceiling!

This is mostly for my sister. :)
Also they had the Grinch!!!!
Then we finally made it to Atlanta! And Game X! A.k.a. the coolest restaurant ever!!
Yayy!!!!
It is what it looks like: an arcade for grown-ups!!!

After we had lunch and played games to our hearts content, we headed downtown and found this giant ferris wheel right in the middle of the city!
It was so cool, each compartment was air conditioned, which was a blessing because it was like 90 degrees that day!
Here are some of the beautiful views on the ride!
This was in the park in the middle of downtown!  The kids were really enjoying the splash pad!

Alright! That's all for now!!! Stay tuned for Part Two!
xoxo
